My name is Casey Eagle. I was born and raised in Norfolk county, England, with my two brothers, by my mum and dad in a large seaside village called Caister. From a young age during my school years I had always aspired to have a career in film, but couldn't quite figure out what it was that I wanted to be.
Throughout my life I've always been creative. As a kid, Building contraptions out of K'nex was my thing, and once I had followed the instructions on how to build it, I would then take it apart and put my spin on it. And of course if there's a box of K'nex, there's a box of Lego too! And I was a keen collector of the star wars Lego sets, however these weren't to be altered in any way! They were meant to be displayed in all their glory, and what better way than to film my own battles on my mums old phone with barely 3 megapixels. The camera angles had you at the heart of the action and the flickering of my laser pen brought their small plastic guns to life. It wasn't long after that I found the cam-corder which only took my obsession to the next level.
More recently I've built my own PC, which in itself has taught me a lot. It has allowed me to explore my interests. Now those interests are now my creative outlets which include photography/editing, filming/editing and creating 3D objects using software such as cinema 4D (self taught of course). Being a keen traveller, I'd take a lot of photos, and at the end of the trip would photoshop them to my liking. After effects became a favourite of mine and soon I was able to combine my photoshop, 3D designs and film together!
Leaving high school can be daunting. I knew a career in film of some sort, although not knowing exactly what position, would be the path I'd want to take, but with reality dawning on me and time ticking, a choice had to be made. Most of my friends were doing engineering, the area was teeming with engineering opportunities, my parents wanted me to do engineering, and most importantly I was good at engineering!
With my career goals uncertain, this trait took the spotlight from high school after I landed a prestigious job as an aircraft engineer for a reputable company. 8 years had passed and I accomplished many achievements in the aviation industry such as completing my diploma and attaining an engineers license. Year after year working in engineering only starved me more of expressing my creative side, and began to feel that my outlets out of work were not enough. Ultimately I take the leap I was always meant to take, and with a Better idea of what I want to be, I began to pursue my career in VFX and animation. My hobbies and passions include bodybuilding, snowboarding, bouldering, travelling and exploring. My career aspirations are at current to become a freelancer in Visual effects/3D art, experience what its like to work individually and as a team across multiple industries such as film, television, gaming and advertising, whilst travelling the world and seeing whats on offer. To have my friends and family experience something that I was a major part of is the ultimate goal!
